As a developer, when we do patch notes we have to be relatively generic unless we are patching a specific global bug. For us it's hard to say where exactly the features would go missing (since we don't have insight into their employees and their capabilities), but it's safe to say there would be one.īut nothing ever specifically stated about amd users having issuesīecause it doesn't work that way. (In the pod cast I linked above, GGG mentioned somtehing like this as well in regards to the desync fixes). There needs to be a decision between distribution of company resources, and distributing it to something like this (which may be very "expensive") will take them away elsewhere, like new game features, the trading overhaul, community APIs, etc.Either of which will take months or even years. For example, it could require rewriting parts of their engine or a lot of changes. Addressing the issue can be very complicated.
There are hundreds of graphic cards and hundred of thousands different PC configurations Identifying the exact issue can be complicated. If the issue was "easy" to fix, it would have been fixed already.Lastly, with graphics issues like that you can also assume: Not having enough developer time to work on things like this would obviously slow down things several months ago or so, they mentioned they had issues hiring engineers for the graphics engine because their last hire quit the job soon after and and new programmers would need to work in their office in new zealand Source - seeing how the job opening isn't in the GGG website anymore, hopefully they got someone.next patch will include performance improvements, in particular in regards to ground effects which people have complained about a lot, see state of exile podcast.they're working on performance in general, see last Q&A.Furthermore not having this issue fixed yet does not mean they're ignoring it either. Just because they're not responding to every post like this, it doesn't mean they're ignoring the issue.
